What is a Roof Top Box?
A Roof Top Box allows you to store your wheelchair in a box on the roof of your car when you are driving. Then when you arrive at your destination you can retrieve your wheelchair down within 30 seconds! The Roof Top Box is available in two different models for either side of the car, the driver or the passenger side meaning that you can have it fitted and controlled from whichever side of the car you prefer.
The Roof Top Boxes are weather tight and weigh in at only 55kg, meaning that they can be mounted on most vehicles and models, however the total weight of the wheelchair and Roof Top Box must not exceed 75kg.

How does a Roof Top Box work?
The Roof Box is made out of Aluminium and plastic and is fully enclosed to make it weather resistant. All of the motors are sealed so they are not affected by the great British Weather and the side tracks are low friction to make it as easy to use as possible.
The Roof Top boxes work by you using a switch to call the hoist mechanism to the door of the car, you then hook your wheelchair into the hoist and it safely lifts and transfers the wheelchair into the box meaning that the boot of your car is left with plenty of space for luggage or shopping.
