What is a Hand Control?
Hand Controls, also known as push pull brake accelerators, are designed to help drivers who are unable to operate the foot pedals in a car. The Hand Control Adaptation allows the driver to easily operate the brake and accelerator by a single push/ pull lever fitted just below the steering wheel. You simply push down the lever to brake and pull the handle towards you for smooth acceleration.
Hand Controls are custom fitted to each individual car and user and are supplied by industry experts Jeff Gosling. Different people want different things from their Hand Controls. For example, you can add on indicator switches, buttons which allow you to switch between main beam and dipped beam, you can even operate the horn from it! Our discreet Hand Controls are manufactured by Cowal Mobility.

How does a Hand Control work?
The Hand Controls we fit are created with precision components meaning that you get a smooth driving experience. The pedals are not removed on your car meaning that anyone else can drive your car if you want them to without using the hand control, it is probably best to warn them though!
When we fit your Hand Controls we attach them to the steering column of your car for support and we always ensure that there is enough space between the steering wheel and the hand control in order to achieve full acceleration.
We also supply and fit Electronic Hand Controls manufactured by Brig-Ayd . These Electronic Controls mean there is no need to pull the lever if you have a weakness in your right arm or hand. Acceleration is achieved by using a trigger throttle and can be operated with one finger.
How do I get a Hand Control?
We fit Hand Controls all across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria, our workshop is based in Darlington but we work all over including Hartlepool, Stockton, Harrogate and Richmond.
